This outing will take you to the South East and Mahébourg, an area rich in historical landmarks.

Visit the Naval Museum of Mahébourg with its exhibits relating to the fierce battles between the French and English fleets and retrieved from sunken ships.

Go on a tour of the picturesque village of Mahébourg for shopping and picture taking. The bay is quite impressive in this part of the island and you will see several historical monuments, such as the ones commemorating the battle of Vieux Grand Port and the abolition of slavery.

Lunch at Domaine du Chasseur further away along the coastal road.

From the restaurant, high on the hill, enjoy the magnificent view on the Vieux Grand Port lagoon.

Take a stroll in the 1000 acre estate to discover its nature reserve where hundreds of Javanese stags, wild boars, monkeys and birds, including the kestrel, a protected endemic bird of prey, can be seen.

Leave respective hotels as per scheduled timings:

10H30             Arrive at Mahebourg Historical Museum

                      Visit of the museum.

11H15             Leave Museum for 1 hour shopping in the village.

12H15             Leave Mahebourg and drive to Domaine du Chasseur.

12H45             Arrive at Domaine du Chasseur.

                      Take 4X4 wheel drive jeeps for Panoramour Restaurant.

13H00             Lunch.

14H30             Short trekking or quad biking (optional).

15H30             Leave the Domaine du Chasseur and drive to respective hotels.
